Age Concern Otago organises the drivers to deliver Meals on Wheels throughout Dunedin and are desperately short of drivers for the Wakari/Brockville  run.

I was wondering if it would be possible to advertise at the school for any Mum's or Dad's that would like to volunteer and help out the elderly in our community.

The commitment is flexible and is only Monday-Friday and no public holidays.  The run takes about an hour to do including picking up the meals from the Wakari Hospital  and delivering the boxes back after the run. The pick-up of the meals is at 12.30 from the Wakari Hospital Kitchen .  Drivers can choose how often they would like to do it eg once a week/fortnight etc. They would need to have their own car and be willing to undertake a Police check.
