PALS 2022
On Tuesday 17 May, nine of our senior students attended the Physical Activity Leaders Day facilitated by Sport Canterbury.
At PALS we learnt new games to play and how to teach new games to others. I enjoyed PALS because they shared good points on how to be the best leader possible, such as adapting the game by using STEP (Space, Time, Equipment and People). We learnt different skills and strategies that other schools use.
The most important thing about PALS was improving our leadership skills with fitness by learning games and the purpose of leading fitness to improve our physical well-being. Not only did we have a great time, we learnt a lot of new games to play back in our blocks and we can run these at lunch or interval.
From PALS, we have gained knowledge on how to improve on making more clear instructions, and being more prepared when setting up games. We are going to try to get more involved in lunch time activities and something fun for the school to do. We are going to gather more suggestions from other students for different games/activities.
