The Great Christchurch Technology challenge. On Tuesday the 30th of June 3 teams from our school competed in the “Great Christchurch Technology Challenge” which was a challenge designed to test our problem solving and technical skills.

At times during this challenge there were times where our car wouldn’t even budge! But even when it didn’t go, we still persevered and kept trying and improvising. Eventually our car started to move but very slowly! So we kept looking at it to try and figure out what was wrong and we had to do this about 10 times until we finally got the car to travel at a reasonably good speed. Our first trial was 9.84 seconds but after a few tries we managed to make a winning time of 5.25 seconds! We won the whole competition!

The best part about this challenge was learning new things about ourselves. We never thought we would win and enjoyed working together as a team.

Well done also to Linckon, Arielle, Avni, Shaun. Zeke, Lucca and Andrew who also participated in this event.
