Attendance Matters!
Congratulations to Kate B - she has recently created some really effective promotional material (above) to encourage children to be at school!
We have been tracking attendance very closely and working with parents to continue to find different solutions to encourage regular attendance.
School wide attendance is now sitting on 90%, with year seven attendance sitting at over 90%. This is pleasing as we continue to track well towards our 95% target!
The Senior Student Leaders and Tuakana Leaders will be partnering with specific children to support them and celebrate their attendance in term two.
Coming to school every day is really important for your children to achieve their potential and be successful!
- Showing up every day really matters.
- Showing up every day means a greater chance of success with learning
- Showing up every day means a greater chance of being involved in clubs, teams and making friends at school
- Showing up every day means a greater chance of developing health habits and greater resilience which will support their mental health.
- Showing up everyday means your child will develop good habits for high school, university and/or the work force.
Our target is to have every child at school consistently for at least 95% of the school year. Our school has a relentless focus on achieving this target and will be partnering with you as parents to help your child achieve this target. Like you, we have high hopes and aspirations for your children! Showing up consistently will help your child get closer to these aspirations!
