North West Music Festival

Haley Taylor —

The Breens Intermediate School choir performed at the North West Festival at the Aurora Centre.

Choir was a really fun night, there was a lot of time and effort put into it but it was definitely worth it. I personally think that the night went really well and we all sang beautifully.

As a school we sang 2 songs by ourselves "Wand'ring" and "I Will". Our performance was conducted by Maggie Alley, our choir tutor and accompanied on the piano by Satoko Nakamura.

Then as a massed group we sang 6 songs. In one of the massed songs, Shae performed the solo for "When I Grow Up". She did a fantastic job.

I found it quite fun and interesting. It was my third year but it was still fun. One thing I disliked was the chairs because we had to sit on hard wooden chairs for like 3 hours, but other than that it was pretty good.

-Aless: I really loved the choir at the Northwest festival. It was fun and a great experience. It was a really amazing night!

-Freyah i really enjoyed it, it was a late night, it was tiring and i was exhausted after but it sounded amazing we sang with passion.

We would like to thank Maggie for all the work she has put into the choir.
