AfterhoursGP provides an After Hours General Practice service to the people of Christchurch. The service offers the ability to book a time that suits you and wait at home until your appointment. FREE for eligible patients under 13 years* *Eligibility requires the patient to be under 13 years of age and eligible for New Zealand healthcare, excludes home visits.

What is the After Hours GP Service?

AfterhoursGP provides an After Hours General Practice service to the people of Christchurch. The service offers the ability to book a time that suits you and wait at home until your appointment. If there are no available appointments, a home visit is always available.

Important:
You must have spoken to a Homecare Medical nurse or the Urgent Pharmacist and be triaged as needing to see a GP before you book online - simply ring your usual surgery number after Hours and a Homecare Nurse will answer your call, or call 03 366 8970 after 6 pm.

You can also go to the Urgent Pharmacy for pharmacist advice for whether you need to see a GP, and book online there using our iPad.  for further information visit their website.  www.AfterHoursGP.co.nz 

This service is an excellent alternative to waiting for long periods at After Hours in Madras Street.  The great thing is, the booking is all online so no waiting around to be seen.  We are currently located at Selwyn Street, Spreydon but it is our aim to have multiple locations.  www.AfterHoursGP.co.nz
