NZ Bike Expo 28th & 29th October - Air Force Museum, Wigram.

Sharron Stoop —

This family-friendly event features ‘everything to do with the bicycle’. Cycling is a healthy part of a child’s (and adult’s!) life. We hope you can encourage your community to come to this event and be inspired to cycle more this summer.

At the NZ Bike Expo children can meet mountainbike champion Anton Cooper and top road cyclist Linda Villumsen, and go in the draw to win some awesome prizes.

The Expo has a Kids Track supported by the Cycle Safe team from Christchurch City Council and by Canterbury Plunket. Your students can show their parents the skills they’ve learned at school and check their helmets are on safely. Balance bikes and bike trailers and kids seats are on show for the younger kids.

Bikes, trails, events and more from 50 exhibitors of all kinds will inspire the whole family to get out and cycle more.

The NZ Bike Expo is organised by Cycling Action Network (CAN). We are a registered charity and our goal is to get more people to cycle, more often.

The NZ Bike Expo is on just 2 weeks away on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October, 10am-5pm both days, at the Air Force Museum of NZ, 45 Harvard Ave, Wigram. Adults $10, 11-17 years $5, under 11 free.

If you would like to run a school competition related to bicycles in the next 2 weeks I can supply you with free Expo tickets as prizes, please get in touch.

Please spread the word and encourage your school to come along.

The NZ Bike Expo is the grand finale to biketober – a month of bicycle-related festivities. The Aotearoa Mini Bike Challenge also starts today also for 2 weeks – another great event for school communities!
