Touch Type Read & Spell Course - The award-winning “Touch Type Read and Spell” course, particularly beneficial for students with learning difficulties, is available at the Seabrook McKenzie Centre. Students are kept on track by our experienced and gentle tutor, and also have access to the programme at home to practice. This course helps build confidence while learning and is suitable for all ages.  See info attached.

Unity Week 15 to 21 March 2023 - Unity Week encourages people to get to know other cultures so that everyone, regardless of their background or community, feels welcome, respected, and loved for who they are and where they come from.  We are thrilled to have Dai Henwood performing at a free event next Wednesday 8 March. He will be speaking about his own journey with cancer and speaking loudly about the importance of unity in our lives. He will be joined by Hamimah Ahmat, one of the women from Sakinah Community Trust, who will speak about her journey and the importance of unity. We are encouraging people to bring a koha to the door with proceeds going towards the recovery of Cyclone Gabrielle. Aikido Classes - Aikido is a fun martial art that promotes physical fitness, mental focus, and discipline.  Our dojo offers classes for children [ages 5 – 12] and welcomes beginners. Our instructors are experienced and qualified to work with children, and we maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.  We are offering two free lessons for each child who signs up from Breens Intermediate and a $20 donation to the school for each child that joins.  If you are interested in learning more or would like to visit to our Burnside Dojo [35 Morley Street, Burnside – cnr Clyde Rd and Morley St], please contact us at Mob 021 343 672. Youthtown holiday programme - Every Wednesday (from 3.30pm to 6pm) we run a program called Youth Hub. It is a free after school program designed for youth between 12 and 18 years old.  In April 2023 Youthtown offers a memorable holiday programme in a safe space for young people to make friends and enjoy themselves during the school holidays.
