Breens Licences from a Distance
The Breens licence programme is a home school learning programme designed to interest and extend students.
During their time at Breens students and staff are expected to follow our 5Bs – the Breens Values – BOLD, BRAVE, BEAUTIFUL, BELONGING and BRILLIANT.
We encourage all students to engage with the programme where they strive to attain badges by completing five tasks for each of the Breens Values. The tasks can be found on the team learning hubs once they sign in on their school email account.
When students have completed a task to their very best ability, the tasks are checked and signed off by the classroom teacher and student leader.
When five tasks are completed and signed off, students make an appointment with Mr Maclennan or Mrs Clarke to talk about their learning and show their evidence before being awarded with a badge to wear.
Licence tasks are co-constructed by staff and students each year and children are supported to design their own high interest tasks where possible. The licence programme is all about students leading and extending their own learning.
During distance learning, children can direct their questions about licence tasks to their classroom teachers or liz.maclennan@breens.school.nz or steph.pole@breens.school.nz or nathan.maclennan@breens.school.nz
