The two Breens bands, Beats of Breens and JETTA went to Rangiora and performed awesomely and blew the crowd away at the 2017 Band Quest.

On Wednesday 23 August, the two Breens bands travelled a long way, with our helpful driver Phil, to the Rangiora Town Hall to perform in the 2017 Band Quest competition. Beats of Breens performed 'Sweet Child of Mine' and JETTA performed "Come Together and "Sunshine of your Love" to the packed crowd at Rangiora Town Hall. 

There were 12 bands from different primary and intermediate schools around Christchurch that performed.  It was tough competition. We found it very nerve wreaking listening to the sound checks before the concert.

Breens came away with two individual prizes. Dylan from JETTA picking up best male vocalist and Billie from Beats of Breens coming away with the musicianship award.

Both bands performed brilliantly and were definitely showing beautiful values in their smiles and attitudes.

Thanks to Rhys, Phil, Mr Weaver and Mrs Clarke for all their help with organising us to get there and for this opportunity.
