Pink Shirt Day
To stand up against bullying, the students and staff of Breens Intermediate celebrated Pink Shirt Day on 19 May.
Classes discussed the importance of being an upstander, not a bystander, in the school community and the many ways students can support each other when they experience bullying.
In the lead up to Pink Shirt Day, we had numerous activities within our blocks. These included colouring-in and pink shirt design competitions.
Additionally, the usual PB4L cards were swapped for special pink cards which were awarded to students demonstrating the values of Breens and Pink Shirt Day.
