Breens will be offering Kiwi Competition and ICAS testing again in 2022. Your child's teacher will send an email or click on the link in the attached information sheet to register.

There are many extension opportunities for our students at Breens Intermediate. One of these opportunities is the chance to sit external assessments such as Kiwi Competitions and ICAS.

These assessments are for open to anyone but ideally suited to those students who are showing a strength in a specific learning area. 

Kiwi Competitions are run though the University of Canterbury and cover Science, Maths and English. These test cost $9.50 per assessment to sit - please see the attached documents for information and the link to register.

ICAS (International Competition and Assessment for Schools) is a series of standardised assessment offered to students over the Asia Pacific region. These assessments cover Science, Math, Digital Technology, Spelling and writing. The registration for these will be open next term and the sitting dates are in August (Term 3).

All Kiwi Competitions and ICAS Assessments use an online format.
