The Intermediate and Primary Schools Cross-country event was held in magnificent weather at Lake Roto Kohatu Reserve on Wednesday 5th July. 

Around 160 runners from within the Canterbury Region competed over what was a challenging, slippery and hilly course.

Breens had 5 runners who placed well enough at zones to participate; Amye Kellow (Yr 8 Girls), Camryn-Lee (Yr 7 Girls) Logan Clark, Connor Stewart and Carter Leighs (Yr 7 boys).

All 5 students were brilliant competitors and represented their school with pride. Congratulations to Connor Stewart placed 1st and Logan Clarke 10th in the year 7 boys’ race; both boys will now form part of the Canterbury Cross Country Team to compete in September against students from both the North & South Islands.
