Term Two Sports Update
Cross Country
Early this term sixteen of our best runners participated in the CAIMS Cross Country. It was extremely muddy and wet. There was giant puddles basically running through rivers. Everyone did amazingly well against the very best runners in Canterbury and we had an amazing experience together. We all got very wet and muddy but that did not stop us from completing our race!

Tuesday Football
This term we have started Tuesday sport and I have been representing the school in football. We have started this term well, the year eight team is so far undefeated and the year seven team is working extremely well together. Tuesday sport is really fun and I would definitely recommend it.

Tuesday Rugby
Every Tuesday the rugby team has been going to Hagley to play against the other intermediate schools. The team has been making great friendships and we are building our team culture up well. We started on a win but the last few games have been tough.

Tuesday Netball
Every Tuesday five netball teams have been representing Breens. So far there have been seven weeks of netball of the season. All of the teams have been going well and winning most of their games. It is really important that everyone shows up to the training and tries their hardest.

Tuesday Hockey
On Tuesdays the Hockey players from Breens intermediate walk down to Nunweek park to play against other schools. We have won most of our games so far and have tried our best every week. We have two teams playing in this competition and can’t wait for the next few games.

Waterpolo
This term we have played water polo at QE2 every Monday night. It has been a great experience. For the water polo teams we have been playing very well and even though we have had a couple losses we have always had the best mindset. We are looking forward to the Otago trip coming up and we thank you for the support of the bake sale.
