Waipara Camp 2020

Nikki Clarke —

We will never be able to forget camp at Waipara!

We will never be able to forget camp at Waipara. The excitement of sitting in the bus on the way was unspeakable. Students were laughing and were full of excitement. The scenery that surrounded us was so beautiful.

The breeze was lightly blowing with the sun shining on our backs. We had the best time experiencing all the activities that they had to offer. I asked my class what their favourite activity was. Kayaking, Giant swing & raft building were the most popular.

The activity I enjoyed the most was raft building, because you worked together to try & make the sturdiest raft to float all of the people in your group. Once you finished building the raft you would have to waddle over to the waterhole.

You would set the raft in the water, & then paddle over to the waterhole. The waterhole was very deep, so we couldn’t touch the bottom! The activity that challenged me the most was differently the Vertical Playpen, because you had to hurl yourself up through the obstacles that are vertical.
