Problem Solving with Robotics
A fun learning opportunity for a group of students who opted into Problem Solving with Robotics over the last 7 weeks as part of our Friday Enrichment Programme!
The students’ task was to find a way that they could programme a Lego Mindstorm EV3 in a way that could improve someone’s life. The idea was to extend the way we use these robots beyond the the units of work that are usually taught in the classroom. Ideas were completely up to the students, providing they were able to work within the outlined constraints.
Many of the sessions have seen the students refactoring and improving their code as well as modifying their robot to get the best possible result by the end of the unit.
Students have successfully developed their ideas to create a range of uses for the EV3 robots from Delivery Bots to Drink Makers, Keyboard Mates, Drills and Machines to Purée Baby Food!
