On Wednesday the 9th of November we held our first ever Breens Performing Arts Showcase. We had things such as Wearable Arts, The New Zealand Dance Challenge Crew, Kapa Haka, Pasifika, Choir, Drama and so much more. Families came to watch and enjoy the art of Breens all made by students. We had sausages, drinks and lollies to enjoy.

The first half consisted of the amazing kapa haka lead with the performance group and a couple of soloist dancers that blew us away and the Glee club performing footloose on our brand new stage area !We also had the Pasifika group perform and we also had a group of students perform a drama skit made by them! 

The second half started with the Breens band, The ice breakers ! They wow-ed us with their amazing music skills. After that we had three sets of wearable show their creations for the last time this year, then a second round of the drama skits happened and after their hilarious performance we continued to watch Mackenzies Ballet routine, which was very impressive!Heading towards the end of the night we had the choir and chorale sing for us and the NZ dance challenge winners performed and were awarded with their 1st place trophy! Then Shae sang for us and the band finished the night.
