Kiwi News
We have made a strong and settled start to Term two in Kiwi. We enjoyed the trip to the museum as part of our topic on belonging, or Turangawaewae. We have also been learning about Zones of Regulation as a way to manage our emotions, and we have been enjoying playing board games about such topics as manners, teamwork and emotions. We have also been working hard on Basic Facts and playing challenging whole class maths games. Our speed writing sessions have been helping us gain writing mileage and we have had a focus on using adjectives to add interest for the reader. We really enjoyed our first clubs session on Friday of week three, and look forward to more of these. At Kelly Sports, we have been continuing with football skills, and many have been showing real improvement. The girls loved their fun futsal day with Mrs Tait last Tuesday, and came back excited to do more. We have many girls also enrolled for netball this term. Levi, Harlow and Te Heikura are going to represent Kiwi on the school council. Everyone has been practising saying their mihi confidently.
