MESSAGE FROM DCC REGARDING TRAPS FOUND IN FRASERS GULLY

Brockville School Office —

Just to let you know that leg hold traps were discovered in Frasers Gully recently. As you have students and families who live nearby, we thought you might like some information to include in your school newsletter. Please contact the DCC Parks and Cemetery Manager Scott MacLean on 03 477 4000 or scott.maclean@dcc.govt.nz if you have any questions. Leg hold traps found in Frasers Gully The DCC recently discovered leg hold traps in Frasers Gully. The contractor is checking the area and removing traps as they’re found. These traps may pose a risk for cats and dogs. Please be cautious in the area while signage is in place. It’s thought the traps have likely been placed by people wanting to trap possums for their fur. While possums are considered a pest, people are not allowed to set traps on council land without permission. If you would like to report a trap, see something you’re concerned about or have any questions, please contact the DCC on 03 477 4000.
