A Sense of Sound
Pītau 4 were outside eating their lunch under the trees one day. The sounds of cicadas were deafening yet fascinating to the children.
This sparked a new project for us in Pītau 4 leading us to investigate other sounds in our environment. We have explored sound through experiments, activities, and instruments and have learnt all about how sound travels to our ears.
This week, Project Jonah came to teach us about how whales use their sense of sound to communicate.
