Word From the Principal
Kia Ora, Talofa, Welcome.
As we head towards the end of the year we are so often pressured with the last minute organisation to complete the year, plan for next year, celebrate Christmas and hopefully go on some sort of holiday.
Mostly it's a time of joy but this year it's tinged with sadness for us as our dear Mrs Wixon is moving from Bromley.
Mrs Wixon has been here for 14 years and is such a big part of our whānau and we will miss her deeply. Her classroom practice is exemplary and she has a wonderful manner with the children.
The staff are like family and have forged lifelong friendships with her as many of you will have also.
Renee is moving to a school closer to her home in Lincoln to be near to her family of two young boys and her husband.
We cannot describe how sad we are but we support the move to put her family first. We will have a school assembly where we honour Renee and a separate time as staff but many of you may like to contact her directly to express your well wishes.
There are a few other significant changes for next year also. Miss Hix will be taking a year's leave to teach in Australia. This will be a great opportunity for her and an exciting challenge. We will greatly miss her significant contributions to the school; especially in her dedication to our kapa haka rōpū. We look forward to seeing her back at Bromley in the future.
Also leaving the school is Mrs Mungwasi who has been a part of the school since Term 2. In her time with us she has made great connections with the students she has taught. We wish her all the best in her new adventures.
The lovely thing is that we welcome back Miss Small who is now married and is Mrs Alemann as she returns from her adventures abroad.
We are also excited to announce Jimaya Te Rangi- Henare to our Koru Team. We will include a profile of Jimaya in our next newsletter to introduce her to our school whānau.
We are looking forward to an extremely busy but productive final few weeks of the school year! Please check out the 'dates for the calendar' as it outlines the many events leading up to the end of the year.
