Māori Whānau Hui
Tuesday 19th March we had our first Māori whānau hui for 2019. This was a great opportunity for our whānau Māori to get together and build connections as well as discussing ways of supporting our children’s learning and wellbeing.
The main thing to come from this hui were that we want our tamariki to be happy and proud of who they are. It was also discussed that a trip to a marae is an important experience all children should have while they are at school. This is something we will be looking into and planning for this year.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to those whānau who were able to make it, and to everyone who RSVP’d to this event. We are hoping to have many more events like this in the future and would love your input.
