A Word from the Principal

Scot Kinley —

Kia Ora Talofa Lava Welcome

The new year has begun on a positive and very warm note with the children settling into their classes well .

I couldn’t tell who was more excited to be back, the children or the parents!

Most of you will be well up to date with the outbreak of the Coronavirus in China. As it stands now there are no cases in NZ but we are obviously mindful of the situation and considering what action we will take if it comes close to our shores.

The advice right now for us remains business as usual as we have no known people who have been to China or come into contact with anyone who has. If this ever does become the case please let us know.

Next steps are to reaffirm basic hygiene practices of regular hand washing and coughing or sneezing into the join of your elbow.

Hopefully those in the know will be able to address this situation and we will not need to put any further measures in place.

Other than that , I hope you and your child/ren have a great year and please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher to discuss any aspect of their learning

Regards

Scot Kinley
