Our PB4L Journey
Last year, our school began its journey with Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L), a framework designed to create a positive and supportive school environment where all students can thrive. PB4L is based on the idea that positive behaviour can be explicitly taught and reinforced, just like any other skill. By focusing on clear expectations, consistency, and recognising positive behaviours, we aim to foster a school culture where students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
This year, our first PB4L focus has been on our school value of Caring, particularly in relation to being sun smart. We have been so impressed with the number of children wearing their hats in the playground, showing care for themselves by protecting their skin from the sun. Ka pai, tamariki! Your efforts help create a positive school environment where we all look after ourselves and each other.
We look forward to sharing more PB4L updates as the year progresses!
