by Bromley School
Bromley School is zoned. All students who live within the home zone described below and/or shown on the attached map shall be entitled to enrol at the school.
All learners/ākonga who live within the home zone of Bromley School will have an entitlement to attend our school and those that live outside the home zone may be accepted if there are out-of-zone places available. To be able to do this, boards at state schools keep an eye on the number of applications received from in-zone students to help them determine the places they might have available for out-of-zone students once all in zone enrolments are accepted.
Please note; if you have moved out of zone since your child has started at Bromley they are entitled to stay at Bromley School. However, siblings of current students will become an 'out of zone' enrolment and not have an automatic placement at School. Siblings of current students who are now living out of our home zone will have priority access to any out-of-zone places offered by the school.
This makes it very important to begin the enrolment process for your child 6 months prior to them starting, so we know how many 'out of zone' places we may be able to offer.
Addresses on both sides of boundary roads are included unless otherwise stated.
From the Intersection of Butterfield Ave and Hay Street, South on Hay Street to Linwood Avenue, South east on Linwood Avenue (north side only) to Dyers Road (SH 74), North on Dyers Road (SH 74) to Ruru Road (including Metro Place), North west on Ruru Road to intersection with Maces Road (including Taurus Place, Cuthberts Road to number 35, and Senior Place), South on Maces Road to Ruru Road, West on Ruru Road to Cypress Street, North on Cypress Street to Rudds Road, East on Rudds Road to Kearneys Road, North on Kearneys Road to Pages Road (including Daniela Lane and Mecca Place), South west on Pages Road (south side only) to Buckleys Road, South west on Buckleys Road to Butterfield Avenue, South east on Butterfield Avenue to Hay Street.
Proof of residence within the home zone will be required.
At Bromley School children start school in small groups after they have turned 5 at two entry points, one at the start of each term and one mid term. They will be offered at least four dates for visits into class to ensure a smooth transition to school from preschool.
Enrolment Process
In order to contact the school about enrolling your child please email office@bromley.school.nz or you can download an enrolment form below.
We encourage families to enrol at least six months before their child will be starting school. An early enrolment allows us to plan for a smooth transition to school, and means that we will have your contact details for school visits and to invite you to our Transition to School meeting for new parents (held once a term).
When enrolling, you will need a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport, an immunisation certificate and proof that you live within our enrolment zone.
For more information about our new entrants programme, please download the Transition to School booklet below.
