by Bromley School
At Bromley School we value the diversity of our students and families and through our philosophy and learning programmes, endeavour to connect to our own cultural perspectives.
Our Kapa Haka group runs each week and includes both junior and senior children throughout the year. Opportunities to perform at local and city-wide events are supported.
In all of our classrooms we explicitly incorporate aspects of Te Reo and Te Ao Māori into our day to day learning. Extension Te Reo is also taught by specialist teachers.
For children who have another language as their first language (ESOL) we support within the classroom with a teacher aide to support the students understanding and allow them to access the programme more fully.
