On Tuesday 7th November, 30 Takahe & Moa students went to The Kids Sing at St. Marks School.

The Kids Sing is a choir festival for primary school-aged kids. The kids have been working super hard this term to learn the songs we performed. 

For many of the students, it has been the first time they have learned how to sing in parts and harmonies. The first song we performed was a choral piece called "Whisper" by Greg Gilpin which was sung in two parts. The second song was from The Greatest Snowman called "A Million Dreams". Stella Baker sung the opening solo for this song. The kids did incredibly well up against some slick choirs from St. Marks and Queen Margaret's College.
