BSLA Literacy Approach Information Evening Year 1-4

Liz Rhodes —

We are holding a whānau evening on Tuesday 9 May from 7 - 8 pm to explain The Better Start to Literacy Approach (BSLA). Children across years 1 - 4 are benefitting from this new structured approach to learning early literacy skills.

Come along to find out how your child is being taught phonological awareness skills to improve efficiency in learning to read, write and develop their oral language skills. We will initially meet in the Kiwi block before splitting out into smaller year groups where you will find out what this learning looks like in the classroom and how you can help at home.

Whānau engagement is critical to the success of this approach so we encourage you to join us for an informative evening. Please RSVP your attendance.
