Picture books used at prompts for astounding art pieces.

Team Kiwi began their Matariki tasks by completing a beautiful piece of art linked to a story around Matariki.

The students were put in four groups:

• Kites

• Symmetrical Stars

• Whare

• Collaborative Stars

They spent four sessions in their groups. The kaiako began by reading a picture book linked to Matariki. The students then learned the art techniques and finished the piece of magic. Come on in and have a look!
