The North Canterbury Basketball's Girls Got Game Programme is a collaboration with Basketball New Zealand and Sport Canterbury's Tū Manawa Fund. It aims to engage young girls in basketball and encourage them to continue being active and enjoy basketball with their friends. Run by the best female coaches and Wildcats in NC, its major advantage over mixed programmes is its focus on girls.

Going into Term 4 we are making some changes around our Hoops and Stars Programme most notably the inclusion of the Girl Got Game sessions.

Girls Got Game Sessions
Time: 7pm-8pm
These sessions are for girls only and focus on skill development and games. Like other programmes they will be divided by age. All girls aged year 1 - 8 can register.
HOOPS Sessions
Junior Jammers 5pm-6pm - For yrs 1-3 who want to try basketball for the first time, and have some fun
Jammers 6pm-7pm- For yrs 4-6 who want to try basketball for the first time, or improve on their skills
Slammers 7pm-8pm - For yrs 7-8 who want to improve on their skills and have some fun
STARS Sessions
Time 5pm-6pm
For yrs 7-9 who are have come through the Hoops program, and currently play junior club basketball in the CBA comp.

Run on Wednesday evenings for 8 weeks in term 4 (October 25th to December 13th), in parallel with our hoops and stars programme.
Like holiday camps, this is run with Wildcats and other top players and coaches in the region to get the best out of our young girls.
Girls Got Game Camp
North Canterbury Basketball provides holiday camps run by Canterbury Wildcats and the best players/coaches in the region during terms 1, 2, 3 and 4 Holidays.
NC girls will experience basketball based fun where they will learn and develop their skills with the opportunity to play plenty of games and take part in fun competitions under the eyes of the best female players and coaches in the region.
All days will include skills sessions, games 3X3 and 5V5, all coached by local Rams, Wildcats and other NCBA senior coaches and players.
