Reflections on Pet Day by Rimu
What an amazing day we had, sharing our creations and our pets. Here's how we felt about the day.
Last Friday on the 30th of October we had pet day and we brought pets and did some fruit and vegetable creations and did sand saucers. Before all of that, we did five activities. After morning tea time we got into groups from 1 to 10. I brought a pet kid. So many people loved patting her because she was curly and warm and comfy. By Lucy Griffiths
Last Friday on 30th October at Broomfield School we had a pet day. We started with vegetable creations. It was a hot day my favourite part was winning the small cats and vegetable creations. I had a good day at pet day but I didn’t win the sand saucer. I know how to make a sand saucer now :). My cute pet was nervous but I believed in him and he won. I was proud to win. When I won I said, “we did it!” Baking the cookies was hard. I could have won all three categories. By Kaden Palmer
Last Friday we had pet day and I got second place for my potato head, out of fruit and vegetable creations. In the morning we did sand saucers. A sand saucer is when you put sand in a plate and put flowers on the top. There were lots of animals and my dog Alfie was there. He is grey and big. Alfie was very feisty. By Libby Crampton
On Friday we had pet day here at school. In the morning we got to make sand saucers. A sand saucer is a plate that has been filled up with sand and then decorated with flowers. After morning tea we had top team and had five rotations that were really fun and then we came inside and then Ms O’ Connor let us go to lunch. All the animals were starting to arrive with their owners. I loved that I got to be Ms O Connor’s assistant. By Taylor Marshall
Last Friday the 30th October it was pet day at Broomfield School. What we did was we got make a fruit and vegetable creations and also a sand saucer. My mum and sisters and baby brother came to pet day. MY dad was at work so he couldn’t come. I did not like my rooster it was annoying because it kept on going cook-a-doodle-do and it was shrill. A rooster is an animal that wakes up farmers in the morning saying “wake up”! My favourite part was when my sister got a 3rd prize like me for bringing our cat, Batman. By Maria Colenso
