$100 raised for St John!

On Wednesday & Friday, our school was lucky enough to be visited by a St John first aid educator. We were introduced to the lovely Nikki who helps educate schools all around Aotearoa about first aid and what to do in an emergency. 

We learnt about D.R.S.A.B.C’s Danger, Response, Seek help, Airway, Breathing, C.P.R. We also learnt about how to do CPR, it was really interesting and helpful. I was a volunteer whilst she showed us how to use the AED that helped you when you have a heart attack or a cardiac arrest. We then learnt about what to do if an emergency happens and what to say if you're calling 111. 

I loved our emergency training and I hope we can have it again next year!

Broomfield School managed to raise $100 dollars for St John to support the amazing work that they do in our communities!
