In Mataī and Nīkau this week we have been learning about ANZAC Day and writing diamante poems. A diamante poem is a poem with seven lines, 1 noun, 2 adjectives, 3 verbs, 4 nouns, 3 verbs, 2 adjectives, and 1 noun, and forms the shape of a diamond.
We looked at a particular poem called Flanders Fields written by John McCrae, an army doctor in World War 1.
