Pet Day

This year’s Annual Pet Day was held on Friday, November 1st, and was filled with exciting activities and adorable animals.
The day kicked off with a Mini AgriKids challenge in the morning. To start things off, Richie gave us a demonstration of a real dog trial, showing us the skills required for herding. Afterwards, we took part in a range of fun events, including sheep herding, an electric fence relay, sack racing, gumboot throwing, labelling horse tack, identifying different types of weeds and plants, and much more.
After morning tea, everyone brought their pets to join in the festivities. We had an impressive variety, including horses, cows, chickens, bees, dogs, cats, axolotls, and even some non-living pets like stuffed toys and pet rocks! It was amazing to see the creativity on display.
At the end of the day, our Grand Champion title went to Adele, with Henry taking the Reserve Champion spot. Congratulations to both!
