Uniform
The feedback from the uniform survey in early 2022 revealed a strong
community desire for a compulsory school uniform.
A uniform subcommittee researched a wide range of options and their recommendations have been approved by the Board of Trustees. The new school uniform will apply from February 2024, for the junior school, years 0-4 inclusive, overtime extending throughout the school (older students may wear the uniform if they wish). Pieces will be available for purchase online at Mainland Uniforms or at one of their three Christchurch stores from Term 3 2023. Click here to purchase our uniform.
The compulsory (monogrammed) elements are a polo shirt and either a sweatshirt or a merino jersey. Hats are also required in Terms 1 and 4.
The lower half of the uniform can be purchased anywhere and can be any shape as long as it’s navy blue. E.g. shorts, longs, leggings, skirts, skorts, trackpants etc are all fine. There are no restrictions on the style or colour of socks, shoes, or winter/rain jackets. Warm/extra layers may be worn under the polo shirt.
