Enviroschools Trip to Gore Bay/ Pariroa

A team of Enviroleaders joined schools from all over the Hurunui to explore the rich biodiversity of Gore Bay. We received mihi whakatau from local mana whenua, heard about trapping efforts to help local birdlife and enjoyed activities in the bush, including making nests. Thanks to Enviroschools Canterbury who made this day possible.

Broomfield school has an Enviroteam that helps make the school more sustainable, the Enviroteam is made from the senior students. The members of the Enviro team are Maddison, Portia, Anzac, Jacob, Stella, Gus, Maggie, Emma, Summer, Kayleigh, Lilly, Jessica and Logan.
