Year 5 & 6 Netball Fun Day
On Tuesday May the 24th BBPS year 5 and 6’s went to Howick Pakuranga Netball Centre for a netball field day.
BBPS were lined up outside room 18 and 19 meanwhile Mrs Jackson called the roll. After we did the roll we lined up and walked to the bus stop and got our seats. Then the bus started and dropped us off at HPNC.
Mrs Jackson led us to the grandstand which had lots of other schools already there. The loud speaker said to get ready for the first games. There were 6 games in total and Mrs Jackson called out the teams and the parent helpers. There were 3 year 5 teams and 2 year 5s moved into 1 of the 2 year 6 teams. We got our bibs on and the BBPS representatives split up into their teams.
All of the schools got onto the correct court they were supposed to go on and we were finally ready. The refs blew their whistles and the game was going. The balls flew down each court and the sideline was roaring. The final scores were in for round 1 and players needed to take a break and move their way to the next courts. All the BBPS teams played well and the people who had not played before played very well for their first proper game of netball. Round 2 was a breeze and so were games 3,4,5 and 6.
Then we all gathered round the grandstand and all the schools were walking to the bus and it drove us back to the school. We had a great time and we can't wait for the next netball adventure. 🏐 🏐 🏐
