On the 14th and 15th of March, the Burnside High Girls' First XI Cricket team played in the NZCT Cup. This involved the top teams from Canterbury and was a 20/20 competition played over two days at the Polo grounds in Hagley Park.

With a mixture of seniors and juniors the team supported each other really well and produced some good team and individual performances.

The future looks bright with a few players already playing senior club cricket in Christchurch and playing for Canterbury.

In 2018 we will be playing in the local school competition in Term 1. This additional competition will help the team develop even further.
