Sports Round Up
Here's a little bright spot in the wave of cancellations/suspensions that our sports programme has experienced this week.
Canterbury Secondary Schools Powerlifting Championships
Sat 14th March; Unbreakable Training Center, Christchurch.
Congratulations to the team who all not only achieved personal bests for all students in every lift, but every student won a medal placing their age/weight groups!
All the students in the team have invited by the federation to lift at the South Island Championships in May.
Another highlight from the day includes Alfie Trafford nearly breaking the national deadlift record of 180kg.

South Island Secondary Schools Rowing Championships
Fri 13 - Sun 15 March; Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel.
Congratulations to all our Rowers who took part in this Regatta at Lake Ruataniwha, as you can see there was some really strong finishes. On the Saturday, all the crews who rowed achieved PBs (personal bests), including the Novice Girls in their 8 managing to shave a massive 17 seconds off their previous PB - Way to go team!!

Unfortunately due the new Covid-19 guidelines many of our Term 1 sporting events are now on hold or have been cancelled. Hopefully we are able to go ahead with the planned sporting schedule in Term 2 and can continue updating you on our amazing athletes and their results.
