This was the second year that Burnside High School have participated in the Pool for Schools Competition.

The competition ran through Terms 2 and 3 culminating in the Pool 4 Schools 8 Ball National Finals.

This year Blake Cottle qualified and competed in the National Finals held in September in Christchurch. This event was attended by Southland, Aoraki, Canterbury, Wanganui, Taranaki, Hawkes Bay and Waikato.

Blake competed well and achieved Runner-up in the Masse Main Event – Flight event.
