Mountain Biking was held during Term 1.

14 students competed in a six week competition at Halswell Quarry in Term 1, culminating in the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Mountain Bike Racing Championships. 

At the Championships, Burnside finished 8th overall in total points. Erin Downie finished 2nd in the U14 Girls event and Sami Donnelly finished 3rd in the U15 Girls event. 

In the Term 3 holidays, Campbell Irwin and Josh Wright competed in the South Island Secondary Schools' Mountain Bike Championships.

In Term 4, a Mountain Bike coaching course was offered to students and 12 students attended this.
