COMPULSORY:

Cross Country is compulsory for ALL YEAR 9s and 10s. If you are injured or ill, you need to bring a note from your parents or caregivers.

UNIFORM:

Year 9-10 must wear PE uniform or your divisional colour (no dress ups!).

Seniors may wear suitable appropriate running attire.

PROCEDURES:

At the start of the period you are due to run in, get changed into your PE gear, take your bag down to the lower fields and assemble with your class for your usual teacher of that period to take a roll. Do not leave valuables in your bag. Teachers assembling with their classes at the lower fields are also required to help out with marshalling as required.

Run your race and at the end of the two (or three) laps, give your name and form class to the recorders at the finish line.

Top 10 finishers in each age grade are eligible to compete in the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Road Race and Cross Country Championships, to be held some time in Term 3. (If students finish beyond the Top 10 and are really keen to compete at the Championships, you may talk to Mrs Pooch to be considered)

Results also go towards discovering the top class in each year group, and each person's results also go towards your division's points tally.
