This term, Burnside High School was lucky enough to have Her Excellency the Rt Hon. Dame Patsy Reddy, Governor General of New Zealand visit our school.

 This began with a welcome from our Kapa Haka group, Head Students and Senior Leadership.

She visited a selection of classes in our very successful Visual Arts department followed by a senior Hospitality classroom.

An interactive discussion took place on the ‘Into Motion’ hui (@intomotionnz) which was a conference based around gender equality held at Burnside High School last term. Altogether, the visit was a success and we hope it gave Her Excellency an interesting look into Burnside High School culture.
