Equestrian at Burnside High School for 2021 consisted of three events: Showjumping, Mounted games, and Dressage.

First up was Show Jumping. Our team consisted of Jorja Dann, Natasha Frost, Luci Shanks, and Lily Burt. Lily and Luci rode in the 80cm, Jorja and Natasha rode in the 95cm. Whilst our team did not place, everyone had positive rides and it was a fun day.

Next up was Mounted Games. Our team consisted of Jorja Dann and Luci Shanks. This was the second time this pair was together and being reigning champions, we hoped for another win. Whilst we were unable to bring back the trophy to Burnside High School for the third consecutive year, we managed to place 5th out of 30 teams. The day was full of adrenaline and fun, so it was a success.

Finally, Dressage. The team consisted of Jorja Dann, Natasha Frost, and Luci Shanks. Jorja rode at level 2, and Natasha and Luci rode at level 1. Due to the fact that we only had three out of four required riders, we unfortunately were uncompetitive as a team but wanted to give it a go anyway. It was lucky that we did as we had some awesome individual results! In the Level 2 class Jorja placed 1st in one test, and 3rd in the other. At Level 1 Luci placed 9th, and Natasha placed 2nd and 13th. Some wicked results and happy riders! 

Overall Equestrian for Burnside in 2021 was full of great experiences and fun, for both riders and horses involved.
