From the school Athletics we moved on to the Canterbury Championships. We were thrilled to be awarded the title of Top Co-Ed school at these Championships. This is a title we have held many times but not in recent years.
Twelve Canterbury titles were won by our Athletes, including 2 relay titles.
We should feel very proud of all our relay runners who participated in our 11 relay teams. As well as the titles there were others who were well placed. Our Under 16 Boys Calib Bone 11WSMM, Leon Lin 10NCHB, Nathan Dix 11WTNH and Bradlee Lang 11WMNS and our Under 16 Girls Ashley Farrell 11SKRA, Alysia Gilmore 11NMRC, Allanah Pile 11SKRA and Anna Kenworthy 12WWNB are now Canterbury Relay title holders. Also, a special mention to Eliza Meekings 12WSUM who came away with two Canterbury titles in Pole Vault and Javelin. The full list of Top 3 places is attached.
We then continued on to the South Island Championships in Nelson. There were three days of tough competition. We came away with a number of placings.
There was strong leadership from our three Year 13 students Daniel Roswell 13OLK, Brigit Kwell 13PZS and Isabella Pickering 13PZS
