This year the Senior Girls Water Polo team had a group of experienced players, and a few new strong juniors.

After a slow start to the season in Term 1, we were able to improve dramatically over the season and won two big games against Girls' High and Papanui High.

It was a super fun year and we were able to become a very close bunch.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to make it to the South Island Secondary Schools' tournament due to some players' other commitments, however, some of the players played in the combined girls' team which did extremely well and was undefeated during the entire tournament. A massive thank you to Ben Lamb our coach, for all of his wisdom, commitment and time spent helping us improve, and to Mrs Taylor for taking care of all the time-consuming admin.

With Eli Warren and I leaving the team now, the future of Burnside High Girls Water Polo is in good hands, and has a promising future ahead.
