On September the 14th, two year teams from Burnside High School were successful in winning the annual German ‘OSKAR’ competition held amongst the Canterbury schools.

 This year, the event was held at Lincoln High School and the exciting night included a riveting Trabi race, singing along to well-known German songs, completing puzzles and a long quiz about the fascinating history of Germany. The evening concluded with two of our teams winning 1st and 2nd place. As prizes, they were awarded trophies and T-shirts designed by Katie Horton. It was certainly a night to remember, regardless of the well-deserved placings our two teams received. Many German students have experienced the OSKAR quiz over the years, and many have been successful. It is an opportunity that should not be missed for the students of Deutsch.
