Two teams of Year 11 Geography students competed in the annual competition hosted by the University of Canterbury Geography Department during Week 3, Term 3.
This annual competition proved to be a fun night out! One of our BHS teams scored a very respectable 6th place. Students from approximately twenty schools had a great time competing in rounds such as Geography in the News (common round), Old School Geography (flags and maps), topographic map interpretation, Play-doh modelling, 'to the extreme', 'believe it or not' and 'blues clues'.
Thanks to Piper Pengally (12 Geo) and Mr Bond for their coaching expertise and also to Mr Gibson for his assistance on quiz night.
