Great results for Burnside High School students over the weekend of 10th-11th April.

A big thank you to all the staff who came down to support the students, especially Mr  Hall for looking after our team and spot/loading the bar for the whole day - nearly ten hours! 

Students who competed were Grace Wakefield, Kapil Kumar, Harrison Bray-Lim, Xavier Pederson, Alfie Trafford, Sahel Mohammadi, Sam Lamont, Penny Yang, Seb Jamieson, and Jack Mudu.

Highlights:

• Jack Mudu broke New Zealand records in the under 69kg youth class for bench press 83kg and deadlift 163kg.
• New lifters Harrison Bray-Lim and Sam Lamont competing for the first time after less than a term of training. 
• Alfie Trafford attempted a 200kg deadlift record which he managed to lift but got red lighted on a hitching technicality.
