Continuing Burnside High Schools tradition of excellence in gym sports, Lilyann Lim placed 5th in the Junior International Competition and Elle Ilkiw placed 2nd in the Level 10 Competition at the NZ Secondary Schools’ Rhythmic Gymnastic Championships held in Auckland, in June.

Earlier in the year, Elle Ilkiw and Annabel Keith competed at the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, here in Christchurch. Elle placed 3rd in the Level 10 competition and Annabel took out 1st place in the Level 8 competition.

Adam Lim was the only competitor in his group to compete in all disciplines to cement his win in the Level 7 Mens Artistic Gymnastic competition at the Canterbury Secondary Schools’ Artistic Championships, held at the Christchurch Gymnastics Centre over the 27th and 28th of May.
